I am starting a new quilting project, so I won't have as many projects to post. I am going to share a couple of my old quilts and projects in the meantime.
I made this quilt in a beginning quilting class that I convinced my sister to take with me. It is possibly my favorite quilt ever. I may have been a beginning quilter when I took the class, but I was not a beginning sewer. I have been sewing most of my life. I had sewn two quilts before this one. I also sewed outfits for 4-H. I have sewed 3 prom dresses, 4 homecoming dresses, and my wedding dress. The first quilt I made was a wacky quilt. It took me over two years and ended up being a king size quilt. I had to fold it in half to use it on my dorm bed. The second quilt I made I used the Primitive Picnic pattern. I will be posting about that quilt soon.

The thing I love most about this quilt is the fussy cut centers. I had found a fabric I was in love with, but hadn't found a good way to use it...until I decided to take this class. Then I realized I could fussy cut the medallions out and use them as the centers of my stars. I pulled all the colors from the medallions for the rest of my quilt.
Stay tuned to see some more of my old projects and for little updates on the new project I have been working on!
